What is your reason for becoming a teacher?
I really enjoy languages – learning them, teaching them, comparing them, explaining them. The fact that my students are foreigners and I get to teach them my mother tongue is even more exciting, cause that way I get to learn new things about new cultures and combine that with my passion for languages and teaching.
What countries have you had students from?
So far, I’ve had only Russian-speaking students, and it’s sooo interesting comparing Russian and Bulgarian.
I can’t wait to meet English-speaking students from different countries.
What are the biggest challenges for your students?
It really depends on the students. Maybe the definite article is something that is a bit hard for foreigners to understand…. But that’s just at first.
What would you tell somebody who wants to learn Bulgarian?
It takes time and effort to learn Bulgarian, but it’s definitely worth it, because it is a really beautiful, rich and old language.
It’s hard at first, but if you’re dedicated enough, it gets easier in time.
