What is your reason for becoming a teacher?
– I wanted to work remotely and an opportunity presented itself to become a Bulgarian teacher and I went for it. I didn’t expect to like it so much but now I get why so many famous and successful people teach college classes, have served as professors or currently lecture full-time. It’s a profession like no other. You can impact the lives of so many people.
Which countries have you had students from?
– I’ve had students from all over Europe, USA, Canada, Kuwait, Iran, Mexico, Myanmar (Burma), The Maldives, Israel, India, Argentina, Ecuador, Philippines, Jordan.
What are the biggest challenges for your students?
– Realising that learning a new language is a process and it takes time, effort and consistency. It takes time to see the results.
What would you tell somebody who wants to learn Bulgarian?
– What would you tell somebody who wants to learn Bulgarian? – There is no such thing as a language that cannot be learned. Many of you speak English, which is not your native language. Therefore you can learn Bulgarian. You just need to find the way that works for you. If one method doesn’t work try a different one. We have students who have tried learning alone with an app, then attending a group Bulgarian course and finally they come to us for one-on-one lessons.
