What is your reason for becoming a teacher?
– I graduated English Philology and I wanted to become a professional translator.
Unfortunately, it was easier to find a job as an English teacher than as a translator. Therefore,
I started my career as a teacher and I discovered that I like teaching and my students liked me as a teacher. Today when I see the excellent results that my students achieve, I feel even more confident that I made the right decision to be a teacher.
Which countries have you had students from?
– The USA, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, England, Syria, Greece, Cuba, Mexico, France, Brazil, Costa Rica, Belgium.
What are the biggest challenges for your students?
– The alphabet, gender of the nouns and the use of the definite article.
What would you tell somebody who wants to learn Bulgarian?
– Bulgarian is not an easy language but if you find the right teacher and you are motivated
enough and persistent in your desire to learn Bulgarian, anything is possible.
