What is your reason for becoming a teacher:

I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember! When I was a kid, I used to write tests, give them to my parents, and even grade them! Of course now, I know better, and I don’t give tests to, or grade my students, but rather I explore the endless ocean of vocabulary and grammar, and steer in the right direction, so my work can be as useful as possible to all of them!

What countries have you had students from?

Over the course of both of my professional careers – tour guiding and teaching, I’ve met and worked with people from exactly 126 countries!

What are the biggest challenges for your students?

“A challenge? Hm, let me go check the dictionary!”

What would you tell somebody who wants to learn Bulgarian?

Oh, definitely go for it! It is such a cool language, and there is nothing like being able to go to a little Bulgarian bakery, and finally ordering a banichka in Bulgarian! I dare say that we are one of the most appreciative people when it comes to foreigners learning our language! It opens many doors to you in Bulgaria, and really helps you understand us (pun intended) much better as people!
